Working on Gecko

Gecko is an autonomous data engineer for small teams: it learns a Snowflake estate, finds what is broken, wasteful or dead, and writes the fix as a pull request somebody reviews.

The interesting part is not the model. It is everything around it — deciding what is worth telling somebody, proving a change before proposing it, and being right often enough that people stop checking. A finding that is wrong once costs more trust than ten correct ones earn.

The team is small, which means whoever builds a thing also owns what it does in production, and talks to the people using it.
